The EACC has moved to court to recover 7.6 acres of Kenya Prisons Service land in Milimani, Kisumu, which it says was illegally excised from public ownership and converted into private property. CEO Abdi Mohamud said the Sh790 million property was fraudulently acquired, subdivided into 92 parcels and transferred to individuals. The commission maintains the land is part of a 16-acre parcel reserved for prison staff housing and regional offices.
