Road traffic injuries are projected to cost the global economy 1.8 trillion US dollars between 2015 and 2030, according to a new Lancet Public Health study. Researchers say crashes continue to burden health systems, families and economies, especially in developing countries. They estimate over 200,000 lives could be saved annually through improved trauma care coverage.
