Political analyst Kenza Ondiek has urged Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna not to be discouraged by his removal from the position of Minority Whip in the Senate, saying he continues to enjoy strong public support. Ondiek said that many Kenyans are now backing leaders who lose influential government or parliamentary positions because of their willingness to hold the national government accountable. He also warned leaders accused of looting public resources and campaigning for President William Ruto's re-election next year, saying they could face serious political consequences after the 2027 General Election.
