Nairobi is preparing for a landmark cultural event on 25 July 2026. The Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) will host the Agave Affair. This event is a partnership between Radio Africa Events and the KICC. It is described as "Nairobi's first true homage to tequila".
An Immersive Experience Layout
A ticket to the Agave Affair provides more than just entry. It grants access to a carefully designed festival grounds. The "Main Tent" will serve as the "heartbeat of the event" with LED screens and casual seating. Guests can also explore various "Brand Tents". These are customised perimeter spaces offering immersive showcases for different tequila labels.
For those looking to relax, the ticket includes access to the "Chill Zone". This is a "Sip Slow, Live Loud" lounge featuring couches and creative backdrops. There is also a dedicated "sunset viewing area" for the early evening hours.

Organisers have promised a "culture shift" in how Kenya discovers the spirit. Currently, "87% of Kenyan consumers have only ever taken tequila as a shot". The festival aims to change this through education.
Attendees can interact with brand ambassadors to learn about production methods. Ticket holders can visit "Cocktail Bars" where experts demonstrate how to mix tequila into "world-class cocktails". A food court will also be available. It will serve "tacos, BBQ & sliders" specifically "paired with tequila pairing suggestions".
A Ten-Hour Sonic Journey
The entertainment is a major part of the exclusive offering. The ticket covers 10 hours of a "curated sonic journey". The music starts with an "Afrobeats Set" at golden hour. It moves through Amapiano and Afro-house before ending with an "Afro-fusion Closing Set."
The lineup features high-profile talent. DJ Mista C will showcase his "genre-blending artistry". He is joined by DJ Tophaz, also known as "Mr. 5ive Star". International Amapiano DJ Big Chipi and Tha Daqchild, the "King of Good Times," will also perform. Hosting the event is MC Kibunjah, "The Only MC with an LLB".
"Creating Nairobi's annual tequila moment: a cultural shift in how Kenya discovers and drinks tequila."
The Agave Chic Aesthetic
Guests are encouraged to follow the "Agave Chic" dress code. This involves "earthy tones and agave greens". Styles like "boho-chic" and "linen sets" are recommended. Attendees can use the branded "style wall" and an LED agave sculpture for photography.
