President William Ruto’s UDA party has dismissed allegations by DCP that it is planning to rig tomorrow’s Ol Kalou parliamentary by-election.The ruling party described the claims as 'baseless, alarmist' and unsupported by evidence. The response comes hours after former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, alleged that UDA had devised an elaborate ballot-switching scheme involving recruited voters, pre-marked ballot papers and bribery. UDA also rejected claims that a secret meeting in Gilgil had been convened to plan electoral malpractice.
