Accordomg to Dr Renson Mukhwana from Gertrude’s Children’s Hospital, many cases are diagnosed too late after children develop life-threatening complications. Common warning signs include excessive thirst, frequent urination, unexplained weight loss and persistent fatigue, symptoms often mistaken for minor illnesses
