Political leaders in the opposition have been urged to fast-track the selection of a candidate to challenge President William Ruto in the 2027 General Election. Political analyst Patrick Nyaga says that although some Kenyans claim they will not vote for Ruto, many are yet to decide on an alternative candidate. He argues that an early nomination would give voters enough time to assess the candidate and build nationwide support ahead of the presidential contest.
