Siaya Governor James Orengo has criticised ODM leader Oburu Oginga over remarks urging President William Ruto to become a benevolent dictator. Governor Orengo said Kenya's 2010 Constitution does not permit dictatorship and warned against any attempts to undermine democratic governance. He insisted the country will never return to an era of authoritarian rule, detention without trial, and disregard for the rule of law.
