Kenyan entrepreneur Khalif Kairo has opened up about his views on relationships, revealing that marriage is currently not a priority in his life and that he has been celibate for a considerable period.

The businessman shared the personal reflections in a post on his X account, where he spoke candidly about the challenges he has faced balancing relationships with the demands of entrepreneurship.
According to Kairo, his focus has largely remained on his work and long-term goals, even as those close to him encouraged him to start a family.

“Getting a woman for me is a non-priority; in fact, I went celibate a long time ago.”

In one of the most emotional parts of his statement, Kairo revealed that his late mother had often urged him to settle down.

“My mum actually died pleading with me to settle down and start a family, but my mind has always been elsewhere.”

‘I have fumbled many good relationships’

Kairo admitted that maintaining romantic relationships has been difficult for him due to the demands of his lifestyle.
The entrepreneur described himself as someone who frequently prioritises work commitments over personal plans, sometimes at the expense of potential relationships.

“I have fumbled so many good girls in my lifetime because I am simply terrible at running relationships.”

He explained that unexpected work opportunities often disrupt personal commitments.

“We will plan a date on Sunday, and a flying request will come, na mimi nitakuacha niende flight.”

Kairo added that his work schedule regularly extends late into the night.

“I will go to bed at 3 a.m. after spending the whole evening on my phone working.”
The entrepreneur said his primary motivation remains rooted in faith and service.
“My main goal is to serve God by financing His kingdom and helping humanity.”

Still hopeful about finding the right partner

Despite describing relationships as a low priority, Kairo also  shared a light-hearted post suggesting that he has not completely given up on finding love.

“A nice understanding baddie who will take me for who I am. A struggling founder, with insane dreams, heavy burdens and a tendency to ghost for a day while building things.”

The post quickly attracted attention from followers, many of whom offered advice and opinions on balancing ambition with relationships.
One user, @MartinKim2002, joked:

“But wewe kupata baddie ako na pure intentions kwako ni ngumuu. They’re all after something unless uende place hujulikani.”

Not all responses were supportive. @Orina Hezbon questioned Kairo’s increasingly faith-centred outlook.
