Musician and content creator Rosaree has shared an emotional account of her struggle with postpartum depression, revealing that speaking publicly about the condition cost her both professional opportunities and public support.

Speaking during an interview on the No Trolling Podcast hosted by Sean81Jax, Rosaree reflected on motherhood, spirituality, friendship and the personal journey that reshaped her life.


"I experienced something called postpartum depression, which is not known by many people, but I believe that every mother goes through it."

Rosaree said that when she first tried to discuss her experience online, many people dismissed her claims instead of offering support.

According to the singer, some social media users accused her of chasing clout, while others claimed she was under the influence of drugs or had been bewitched.
"I spoke about it online, and everybody was like, 'Artists are always looking for clout.' 'Oh, you're on drugs.' 'Oh, you have been bewitched.' But what crushed me the most is that I lost all the contracts that I had."

Her experience reflects a wider challenge surrounding maternal mental health. According to the World Health Organization, about one in five women experience mental health conditions during pregnancy or after childbirth, with postpartum depression among the most common complications.
In many cases, however, they remain undiagnosed because of stigma and limited awareness.

Finding her voice

Beyond discussing postpartum depression, Rosaree spoke candidly about childhood experiences that left her feeling unheard.

She said that growing up believing her opinions did not matter made it difficult for her to express herself later in life.

"Growing up, I always felt like my opinion didn't matter. Whenever I said something, it would be shut down. Now it felt like a rebellion. I had to fight with a shadow that had been there for years."


She also recalled facing doubt because she is a woman, saying many people told her she would not succeed.

Faith, spirituality and self-belief

The interview also touched on Rosaree's spiritual beliefs.
While affirming her faith in Jesus, she explained that she identifies more with spirituality than organised religion.


"I do believe in Jesus, but I'm spiritual. I don't lean towards religion. I believe that religion is a tool for control in many ways."


Rosaree encouraged people to trust their own abilities rather than rely solely on others' opinions.
