A unique blend of entertainment and sport is set to take place in Nairobi later this month as the Celebrity Boxing Experience heads to Alchemist Bar in Westlands on Sunday, 28 June 2026.
The event will see musicians, actors, influencers and entrepreneurs swap their usual professions for boxing gloves in a series of exhibition bouts designed to entertain fans while showcasing a different side of some of Kenya's well-known personalities.
Organisers have unveiled a fight card featuring eight public figures from the entertainment, business and fitness industries. The match-ups are expected to draw significant attention from followers eager to see how their favourite personalities perform inside the ring.

According to the official fight card, rapper and entertainer Barak Jacuzzi will face off against Gengetone artiste Benzema in one of the night's headline contests.
Another music industry clash will see rapper Big Yasa take on Afro-pop artist Zeman.
The final announced contest pits athlete and fitness influencer Carlos Derry against luxury leather goods maker Brian Arani.

Celebrity boxing events have gained popularity globally over the past decade. Similar contests in the United States, the United Kingdom and parts of Africa have attracted large audiences, often blending sport, social media influence and live entertainment.
The format allows public figures with little or no professional boxing background to undergo training camps before competing in exhibition matches. While the contests are competitive, the primary focus is usually entertainment and audience engagement.
I was able to talk with Benzema who is going to fight Barak Jacuzii and he confidentily said, "Mkuje mapema juu game inaisha mapema, first round."
