Mboladinga, widely known by the nickname "Lumumba Vea," has become one of the most recognizable football fans in Africa thanks to his unusual way of supporting the national team. He adopted the name Lumumba because he resembles the Congolese anticolonial leader, Patrice Lumumba. Lumumba was dismembered and dissolved in acid by the US and Belgium in 1961 for securing Congo's independence from colonialism and refusing to let imperialists continue plundering his country's resources.

While most supporters sing, jump, wave flags, and react to every moment of a game, the 49-year-old stands completely motionless from kickoff to the final whistle.
His appearance during DR Congo's match against Colombia attracted attention both inside the stadium and online. Throughout the entire 90 minutes, Mboladinga remained standing in the same position, continuing a tradition that first gained worldwide attention during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
