The Agave Affair Makes History
Nairobi is set to host its first-ever dedicated tequila festival this July through a partnership between Radio Africa Events and the KICC. Known as "The Agave Affair," the event aims to educate consumers on the spirit's versatility. Currently, there are no other dedicated tequila showcases in Kenya.
The event is designed to celebrate tequila's rich Mexican heritage. It will feature brand tents where guests can discover at least three new tequila experiences.

What to Expect at KICC
The event will take place on July 25, 2026, at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC). It offers ten hours of experience, running from 4 PM until 2 AM. The organisers are targeting a crowd of over 2,000 young professionals and mixology enthusiasts.
The festival features a curated sonic journey. The music lineup includes:
- Afrobeats for the "Golden Hour" arrival.
- Amapiano and Afro-house as the evening builds.
- Classic Hip-hop and R&B at midnight.
- An Afro-fusion closing set.
Guests are encouraged to follow an "Agave Chic" dress code. This includes earthy tones, boho-chic wear, and "desert glam" accessories.
Ticketing and Tacos
Attendees can look forward to more than just drinks. The setup includes a food court serving tacos, BBQ, and sliders designed to pair with different tequilas. There will also be a "Sip Slow, Live Loud" lounge for those looking for a more relaxed atmosphere.
