Popular Kenyan podcaster Chaxy has revealed that he does not spend much time worrying about the future, preferring to focus on the present and what he can control today.

Speaking during an appearance on the No Trolling Podcast, the host of the Mic Cheque Podcast shared his personal philosophy, explaining that overthinking what lies ahead can sometimes distract people from making the most of current opportunities.

“I don’t worry about the future. I focus on the now,” Chaxy said during the conversation.

A Different Perspective
During the interview, Chaxy suggested that concentrating too much on future possibilities can create unnecessary pressure. Instead, he said he prefers to put his energy into the work, relationships, and responsibilities that are directly in front of him.

The content creator, who has helped build Mic Cheque Podcast into one of Kenya’s most recognisable digital talk platforms, indicated that success often comes from consistency in the present rather than constant worry about long-term outcomes.

“The only thing I can control is what I do now,” he noted.

His comments align with a growing trend among younger professionals and content creators who advocate for mindfulness and living in the moment while still pursuing personal goals.

Building a Brand Through Consistency

Chaxy remarks come at a time when he has increasingly opened up about his personal beliefs and lifestyle choices. In recent interviews, he has spoken candidly about relationships, marriage, and societal expectations, often challenging traditional views.

The podcaster has previously explained that he prefers making decisions based on his current convictions rather than following conventional timelines or expectations. His latest comments on focusing on the present appear consistent with that broader outlook.

Growth of Podcast Culture

The discussion also highlights the growing influence of podcasts in Kenya. According to global digital media trends, podcasts continue to attract millions of listeners worldwide, with audiences increasingly turning to long-form conversations for insights on careers, relationships, and personal development.

For many followers, Chaxy’s comments were less about ignoring the future and more about prioritising action in the present.
