US rapper says he hopes to visit Kenya in 2027 after withdrawing from the scheduled June event.
American rapper Ace Hood has announced that he will no longer perform at the upcoming Furaha Festival in Nairobi, citing an alleged breach of contract by the event promoters.
The rapper shared the announcement through his Instagram page disappointing fans who had been looking forward to his performance at the festival scheduled for June 5, 2026.
“I regret to inform you that due to the promoter's breach of contract, I will not be performing at this year's Furaha Festival in Nairobi, Kenya, scheduled for June 5, 2026,” Ace Hood wrote.

The rapper, known for songs such as Bugatti, Hustle Hard, and Body 2 Body, however, expressed hope of visiting Kenya in the future.
“I hope to have the opportunity to visit Kenya in 2027,” he added.
The festival had promoted Ace Hood as the main headliner
Ace Hood had earlier been announced as one of the major international acts for the three-day Furaha Festival expected to take place at the Ngong Racecourse in Nairobi.
Promotional material released by organisers had listed the US rapper as the headline act for the opening day of the event.
The festival has been marketed as one of Nairobi’s major entertainment events this year, bringing together international and African artistes, DJs, and lifestyle experiences over the weekend.
Event organisers had not immediately released an official response regarding the rapper’s cancellation by the time of publication.

Following Ace Hood’s statement, fans online expressed mixed reactions, with some voicing disappointment while others called on organisers to address the situation quickly.
