Kenya Police Bullets may have signed off their FKF Women’s Premier League campaign with a narrow defeat, but the newly crowned champions are already turning their attention toward a bigger challenge on the regional stage.

Police Bullets fell 1-0 to Madira Soccer Assassins in their final league outing, a result that did little to overshadow another dominant domestic season that saw them secure a third consecutive league title.
The defeat came in a post-coronation fixture after the champions had already wrapped up the crown with games to spare, allowing the technical bench to rotate the squad and begin planning for the next phase of the club’s ambitions.
Head coach Vijago described the final match as a tough and physically demanding contest, noting that despite the loss, the season overall reflected the consistency and structure that has defined Police Bullets in recent years.
Reflecting on the campaign, the tactician credited the team’s sustained dominance to a clear tactical identity and a winning culture that has continued to evolve since his arrival at the club.
He noted that managing squad transition while maintaining competitiveness has been central to the team’s continued success.
With domestic business now concluded, Vijago says the focus has fully shifted to preparations for the upcoming CECAFA Women’s Club Championship, where Police Bullets will seek to extend their dominance beyond Kenyan football.
The coach revealed that the next phase of preparations will involve tactical adjustments, conditioning programmes and squad balancing as the team gears up for the demands of tournament football.
“Our target is to secure the regional title, and our preparations will include tactical adjustments, conditioning blocks and squad balancing to ensure we are ready for the demands of tournament football,” Vijago said.
The regional assignment is expected to provide Police Bullets with a crucial opportunity to test their depth and competitiveness against some of the best clubs in East and Central Africa as they transition from domestic champions to continental contenders.
Club chairperson Nyale Muga, speaking during the team’s coronation celebrations, hailed the side’s remarkable consistency and insisted the club will continue maintaining high standards in recruitment and squad development.
“We are happy with back-to-back victory for the third title in a row. It can only get better. For now, we have raised our standards. For one to join our team, they must have passed through our national team,” Muga said.
After another successful league campaign, Police Bullets now head into the CECAFA Women’s Club Championship carrying the weight of expectation — and the ambition of proving their dominance can stretch beyond Kenya’s borders.
