Kenyan comedian and digital creator Oga Obinna has built one of the country’s fastest-growing online entertainment brands. His productions attract millions of views across social media, with employees such as Munez and Dappa Man becoming internet personalities in their own right.
But behind the humour and viral clips, some members of Obinna’s inner circle have publicly revealed the challenges of working with him.
The phrase “Ni Kubaya” became the mood of the conversation as staff members described the pressure, unpredictability and emotional strain that sometimes comes with the job.
Among the most direct comments came from Obinna’s bodyguard and close associate, Vicker Munez.
In a cryptic TikTok post shared amid rumours of tension within Obinna’s camp, Munez appeared to suggest that he felt unappreciated despite standing by his boss for years.

“Huenda siku moja ukanitafuta na usinipate ila kumbuka nilikuwepo kwa ajili yako lakini haukuwahi kunidhamini,” Munez said.
Translated loosely, the statement means:
“One day you may look for me and fail to find me, but remember I was there for you and you never valued me.”
The remarks immediately fuelled speculation online about a possible fallout between the two.
Although neither side openly confirmed a dispute, fans interpreted the message as frustration over loyalty and recognition within Obinna’s fast-paced media empire.
Munez has remained one of the most visible figures around the comedian, often appearing during shoots, live recordings and public appearances.

Chaos Behind the Scenes
Obinna himself has occasionally admitted that things can become chaotic during production.
In one podcast interview, the comedian openly expressed frustration after members of his team failed to manage disruptions on set during a live recording.
Referring to Munez, Obinna said:
“Munez is not at his station. His station is at the door… to regulate, tell people we’re shooting.”
The comments painted a picture of a demanding work environment where pressure runs high, and mistakes are publicly addressed.
Dappa Man Opens Up About Emotional Pressure
Meanwhile, Dappa Man’s frustrations appeared less about conflict and more about emotional struggles and personal pressure.
The content creator, who previously revealed he served prison time before rebuilding his life through content creation, admitted that his past still affects him deeply.
“Anyone who sees me doing things they consider cheeky, just let me be,” Dappa Man said while speaking about life after prison.
Despite the challenges, Dappa has consistently credited Obinna for helping transform his life and career.
In another interview, he thanked the comedian after buying land for his mother.
“Without you, I would not have bought this land,” he told Obinna.

A Tough but Loyal Team
Even with the complaints, both Munez and Dappa Man continue to work closely with Obinna.
Their comments revealed a complicated relationship built on pressure, loyalty, opportunity and public scrutiny — a reality many fans rarely see behind the cameras.
