The bankers begin their campaign on Thursday evening against Post Bank before taking on Kenyatta University on Friday at noon.

They will return to action on Saturday morning against A-Plus, before wrapping up their run on Sunday afternoon in a high-stakes clash against Kenya Army.

“We had an impressive run in Egypt, and I believe we have a few lessons that we have picked along the way that we would wish to emulate in the local league. The squad is strong and we are looking forward to an impressive run throughout the week,” Moim said.

The squad, which blends youthful energy with experienced players, will be aiming to convert their continental disappointment into domestic dominance after falling short in the final against Egypt’s Al Ahly in April.

The focus now shifts to reclaiming local honours, with the Kenya Volleyball League and Kenya Cup Volleyball Tournament both firmly in their sights.

Head coach Japheth Munala said the team has identified key areas to tighten following their continental campaign.

“We have what it takes to go for the local titles. We are working with the ladies to fix the gaps we have noticed while in Egypt and once we close on this, we will be ready to go for anything,” Munala said.
