Kenya’s newest celebrity parents, media personality Betty Kyallo and her Gen Z partner Charlie Jones, are settling into life with their newborn baby girl.

While the couple has been sharing glimpses of their journey, it is Jones’ recent candid review of breast milk that has caught the attention of social media followers.

In a series of raw and light-hearted clips, Jones shared his experience of tasting the milk, debunking what he describes as common misconceptions about its flavour.

Debunking the Myths

For many men, the idea of tasting breast milk is often met with hesitation. Jones admitted that he held similar views before his daughter’s arrival. However, after finally trying it himself, he was quick to set the record straight.

“I don't remember breast milk tasting this good. But there's usually a misconception that breast milk tastes bad,” Jones remarked while attempting to open a container of the expressed milk.

"It tastes really good. I'm sharing it with the baby,” he added.

He expressed surprise at the quality, even wondering if it was a universal truth or if he had a "top-tier" source at home. "So many people lie about breast milk not tasting good," he added.

"Probably it’s just my woman who’s making the best breast milk."

"You can never understand why a baby is crying until you touch breast milk. Now I understand why they cry for this stuff. It's top tier,” he added.

A Recommendation for Fellow Fathers

Jones did not stop at a simple taste test. His enthusiasm for the "liquid gold" led him to offer a bold recommendation for other men. Viewing the experience as a hidden perk of fatherhood, he encouraged husbands to embrace the journey of pregnancy specifically for the nutritional rewards.

"I’d highly recommend husbands to get their wives pregnant just to taste breast milk," Jones joked. While he acknowledged that the joy of having a child is "dope," he insisted that the milk itself is a major highlight of the process.

Despite his new-found appreciation, Jones noted that he has to exercise restraint to ensure their daughter is the priority.

"I just can’t drink like a whole chunk because the baby has to drink too," he explained.

The 'Factory' Behind the Health

The couple welcomed their baby girl just a few weeks ago, and Jones was full of praise for Kyallo’s dedication to breastfeeding. He described her as a "whole factory," noting that she has been pumping significant amounts to keep their newborn satisfied.

The results of this "top-tier" nutrition are already visible. According to Jones, the baby is healthy and gaining weight steadily. He jokingly added that he, too, is feeling the benefits of the healthy environment at home.

Why Breast Milk Matters

While Jones’ comments are light-hearted, they highlight the high nutritional value of breast milk. Health organisations, including the World Health Organisation (WHO), recommend exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of a child’s life.

Breast milk contains essential antibodies and nutrients that are impossible to replicate perfectly in formula. It is often referred to as "liquid gold" due to its role in building a baby’s immune system—a fact that Jones seems to have confirmed through his own unique "quality control" sessions.
