Police in Narok Town have arrested four suspected burglars and recovered assorted household items, in what authorities say could unravel a wider theft network operating across multiple towns.

The suspects were nabbed at Majengo estate in the outskirts of Narok town following a police operation that led to the recovery of 17 television sets, seven gas cylinders, two laptops, a woofer and a motorbike.

Addressing journalists at Narok Central Police Station, Narok Central Subcounty Police Commander Benson Pamba said the items were recovered from one suspect’s house, raising suspicion about their origin.

“We strongly believe these goods were stolen, as none of the suspects is a licensed electronics dealer,” Pamba said.

Police now suspect the burglary ring may have been operating beyond Narok, with possible links to theft cases reported in neighbouring Bomet and Nakuru Counties.

Members of the public who may have lost similar items have been urged to visit the police station to identify and reclaim their property.

The suspects remain in custody and are expected to be arraigned in court as investigations continue.

Additionally, Pamba lauded the effort by the members of the public to inform the police about the matter, saying that this will allow the law to take its course and ensure those involved are brought to book.

He said that an investigation into the matter has commenced and called upon anyone with information that could assist in nabbing more suspects involved in this theft to assist the police.
