NCBA Golf Series Sigona leg Ladies' Gross winner Rachel Ndei receives her prize from NCBA Bank's Charles Omondi (L)/HANDOUTAs the race to secure qualification spots for the 2026 NCBA Golf Series Grand Finale intensifies, more than 100 golfers are expected to compete in the 10th leg set for Saturday at Migaa Golf Club.
The Migaa leg comes at a crucial point in the series calendar, with players keen to book their places at the season-ending Grand Finale scheduled for November 28 at Karen Country Club.
This follows a highly competitive outing at Sigona last weekend, where over 260 golfers participated in one of the most attended legs of the series so far.
At Sigona, Akshay Chandaria emerged as the Overall Gross Men Winner after returning an impressive 76 gross, while Rachel Ndei claimed the Overall Gross Lady title with 90 gross. Both players secured qualification for the Grand Finale.
Adam Tayebjee finished as the men’s runner-up with 77 gross, while M. N. Njoroge also posted 77 gross to take third place after countback. In the ladies’ category, Jane Njau delivered a strong performance to finish as runner-up with 91 gross.
In the handicap categories, G. S. Phull claimed the Division Two Men title with 39 points, as Vivian Kosgei won the Division Two Lady prize with 32 points. Joy Bhatt topped Division Three with 37 points, while junior golfer Hetansh Shah impressed with 80 gross to emerge the junior winner.
Speaking after the Sigona event, NCBA reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the growth of golf in Kenya through inclusive and competitive platforms. “We are delighted to witness another successful and highly competitive leg of the NCBA Golf Series here at Sigona Golf Club. The quality of play today reflects the continued growth of golf in Kenya,” said Rose Mburu, NCBA ABC Place Branch Manager.
“Through this series, our goal remains to create inclusive platforms that bring together golfers, strengthen club communities, and support the development of talent across the country,” she added.
The 2026 NCBA Golf Series has maintained strong momentum across its legs, with growing participation and consistent engagement from golfers and partners alike.
The Migaa leg is expected to build on this success, delivering another exciting chapter in the journey towards the Grand Finale.
