The rivalry between Kenyan boxers Majembe and Mbavu Destroyer has moved from the ring to social media. Just weeks after their high-stakes bout at Kasarani, the two athletes have exchanged sharp words on Instagram.
The disagreement began when Majembe announced his intention to sell the car he won for defeating Mbavu.
A Business Move or a Mistake?
Majembe took to his official Instagram account to seek a buyer for his new vehicle. He told his followers that he wanted to sell the Toyota Noah to fund further investments. He asked if anyone was available to make a purchase.
"I want to sell this car so I can invest with the money,” Majembe posted.

The post quickly caught the attention of his former opponent, Mbavu Destroyer. Mbavu mocked the decision, suggesting that Majembe was struggling to manage his newfound wealth.
In a dismissive comment, Mbavu claimed that the winner needed to return to school to learn better management.
“And I just said this guy didn’t go to school. Majembe, I should take you back to school,” Mbavu commented.
Majembe Fires Back
Majembe did not let the mockery go unanswered. He replied directly to Mbavu's comment, reminding him of what happened in the ring. He suggested that Mbavu’s tendency to talk too much was the reason he lost the fight in the first place.
"This big mouth of yours is exactly why I beat you,” he responded to Mbavu.
The exchange has generated significant engagement online. Mbavu’s initial taunt received over 3,200 likes, while Majembe’s retort quickly gained over 1,500 likes.
Fans have been divided, with some supporting Majembe’s plan to reinvest and others side-eyeing the quick sale of a championship prize.
The Kasarani Background
The tension between the two men stems from their recent fight on 5 April 2026. The match took place at the Kasarani Indoor Arena in front of a large crowd. Majembe secured a dominant victory over Mbavu Destroyer through a technical knockout.

As the winner, Majembe walked away with a prize package valued at more than Sh 2.5 million. This haul included Sh 1 million in cash, a sports bike, and a one-year gym membership. The centrepiece of the prize was the Toyota Noah that is now at the heart of the online dispute.
The back-and-forth suggests that while the physical battle at Kasarani is over, the personal grudge between the two fighters remains active. Majembe appears focused on his financial future, while Mbavu seems intent on reminding his rival of the public scrutiny that comes with such a victory.
