The world of Kenyan social media often thrives on comparisons, and recently, fans have been insistent that actress Trisha Khalid and Sky Victor—the daughter of Prophet Victor Kanyari—could be twins.
However, any hopes of a "lookalike" collaboration seem to have hit a stumbling block following a series of TikTok Live broadcasts.
Trisha Khalid, a household name known for her roles in popular television dramas such as Becky and Kovu, recently addressed the growing clamour for a joint project with the teenager.
Her response came after Sky Victor admitted to her followers that she was unfamiliar with the famous actress.

The Fans’ Request
For weeks, social media users have flooded the comments sections of both stars, pointing out their physical similarities. During her own live stream, Sky Victor acknowledged the frequent mentions of Khalid’s name. As viewers suggested names like "Danny" and "Brighter," the mention of Trisha Khalid prompted a candid confession.

"I don’t know [Trisha Khalid]. Unless I ask... who is [she]?" Sky Victor asked her followers.
Sky’s admission quickly went viral, with fans curious to see how the seasoned actress would react to being unknown by someone many consider her "doppelgänger."
Khalid Sets the Record Straight
Trisha Khalid did not leave her fans waiting for long. During a subsequent TikTok Live, she addressed the suggestions that the two should "mfanye content" (make content) together.
Khalid was firm but composed, pointing out the practical difficulty of collaborating with someone who does not recognise her work or identity.
"Sky has said she doesn't know me," Khalid told her viewers in a mix of English and Swahili. She repeated the sentiment to ensure there was no misunderstanding about the current state of affairs.
"Sky has said she doesn't know me, so how will I do content with someone who said they don't know me?"

The Reality of the Industry
Beyond the social media back-and-forth, Khalid used the moment to speak about the realities of her profession. She noted that while filming and content creation can be deeply rewarding if it is "something you love," it is not without its challenges.
"Filming is very interesting, very, very interesting," she shared with her followers, "it requires patience (subira) though, but if it'ssomething you love, you’ll enjoy it."
For now, the much-anticipated "twin" collaboration remains a fan fantasy. While Khalid continues her work on screens—including projects on Maisha Magic Plus—it appears she is only interested in working with those who share a mutual professional recognition.
Whether Sky Victor will eventually "ask" who Khalid is and bridge the gap remains to be seen.
