Vera Sidika has taken to TikTok to address the constant speculation surrounding her romantic life. The video follows a wave of online rumours linking her to Tipsy Gee, a Gen Z Arbantone singer.
The two stars have sparked dating rumours for weeks now. Last week, fans noticed they both posted photos from the same locations while holidaying in Bangkok, Thailand.
This led to a heated debate among followers about who Sidika should be seen with.
The ‘Gold Digger’ Narrative
In her video, Sidika expressed frustration with the public's conflicting expectations. She told her audience to "let it rest" regarding her personal decisions. She pointed out that she has faced criticism regardless of who she chooses to date.
“I’ve been seeing stories trending online, and I’m like oh my God. Let it rest because why would you guys say that this chic deserves to be dating billionaires, wababaz, politicians.Is there a problem of me dating whoever I want to date?” she questioned.
When she was younger, Sidika often dated wealthy, older men. During this time, critics frequently labelled her a gold digger. She noted that people claimed these men were "funding her lifestyle" and that she could not survive without their support.
“Wjhy are guys heartbroken and bitter? I don’t understand why you always say I love Gen Zs yet I’m supposed to be dating billionaires. The time I used to date older men... Oh, she's a gold digger. She's only with men for money… now I’m just living my life, people are labelling me a sponsor.”

Now that Sidika is exploring different types of relationships, the narrative has shifted. She revealed that critics now accuse her of being a "sponsor." This term is often used to describe a person who financially supports a younger partner.
