The Atheists in Kenya Society has publicly declared its solidarity with comedian Mammito Eunice. This support comes after the comedian faced alleged online attacks from followers of Prophet David Owuor.

The backlash followed a viral video where Mammito parodied the religious leader.

Atheists Demand Accountability

Harrison Mumia, the president of the Atheists in Kenya Society, released a statement praising the comedian. He thanked Mammito for her work and criticised the Prophet’s influence on the public. Mumia claimed that the Prophet is allegedly a "scammer" who has misled many Kenyans.

“Mammito, thank you so much for doing that skit of Prophet Owuor. It went really well because that guy is a total scammer and he’s lying to people, claiming to be a prophet. He has misled a lot of people,” Mumia said in the video.

The society expressed concern over the threats directed at the comedian by those perceived to be the Prophet's followers. Mumia warned these individuals to stop their intimidation.

“Those followers of prophet Owuor who are threatening Mammito, we atheists will also threaten you. Don’t dare threaten her. She’s ours and I like what she’s doing. Mammito, continue doing that, don’t be afraid,” Mumia added.

Calls for Arrest

The Atheists in Kenya Society has gone a step further by suggesting legal action. Mumia argued that in other countries, individuals like Owuor would face arrest. He believes the Prophet’s actions warrant police intervention.

The Viral Parody

On 20 April 2026, Mammito Eunice released a detailed skit mimicking Prophet David Owuor, the leader of the Repentance and Holiness Ministry. The production featured a striking physical transformation.

She wore long white clothes and a flowing beard to match the Prophet’s signature look.

In the video, Mammito portrayed a character she called "the mighty prophet." She joked about having a direct line to the divine. She even suggested that followers could send emails to heaven. The skit also featured a spiritual transport service titled "Heaven express."

"You will be talking to God through you know I talk to Jesus directly. Even send a mail because of what you are going through with your marriage,” she told people who were acting as Prophet Owuor followers in the skit.

Public and Celebrity Reactions

The video has generated significant engagement online, racking up thousands of likes and shares. Fellow celebrities have also joined the conversation. Comedian Terence Creative and actress Jacky Vike reacted with humour, though Vike jokingly worried about Mammito ending up in a police cell for the daring parody.

Fans have been quick to quote their favourite lines. One popular line, "tumeingiza ngapi Leo" (how much have we collected today?), sparked discussions about the financial side of religious ministries.
