Musician Hope Kid has come out to defend Prophet Victor Kanyari, explaining why the controversial preacher continues to receive "blessings" despite public scrutiny.

Speaking during a recent appearance on the Obinna Show podcast, the gospel artist suggested that Kanyari’s success is linked to his willingness to embrace people whom society has discarded.

Hope Kid questioned the tendency of traditional churches to alienate individuals who have stumbled. He argued that Kanyari fills a vital gap by providing a home for those facing public "stoning."

A Different View of Grace

During the interview, Hope Kid applauded Kanyari’s approach to ministry. He noted that while the world is busy judging, Kanyari is busy changing lives.

"Why are you chasing people away from the church, where do we expect them to go? And that’s how the society has been programmed, and that’s why when you see Kanyari taking someone from the street and stands with them, he becomes the bad guy,” Hope Kid said.

The musician further explained that Kanyari’s continued prosperity might be due to a divine perspective that differs from human judgment. According to Hope Kid, God does not view people or situations through the same lens as the public.

Yes Kanyari has his own flaws, but he has decided that he’s not going to agree with the society because ‘these people need me here’. When the world is stoning them, he embraces them.”

“And people keep wondering why is Kanyari being blessed, why his church has never been shut,” he explained.

A Refuge for the Judged

The Salvation Healing Ministry, led by Kanyari, has recently become a recurring destination for social media influencers caught in scandals. Figures such as Marion Naipei and Choice Kinoti have both sought refuge at his altar following viral controversies.

Reports suggest that Kanyari provides a powerful psychological refuge. He often refers to these women as his "daughters" or "sweethearts" at a time when the internet is actively "cancelling" them.

This non-judgmental stance allows individuals to tell their side of the story without facing pointed fingers.

"I approached her because the world had rejected her... I wanted to show her that God still loves her," Kanyari recently said regarding one of his guests.

Beyond spiritual support, Kanyari’s church offers practical, financial lifelines. This is particularly significant in an environment where viral scandals can result in the immediate loss of brand deals and revenue.
