Musician Bahati has publicly apologised to his teenage son, Morgan. The apology follows a past incident where the singer used physical discipline. Bahati had previously punished Morgan after discovering the boy had a girlfriend.
The singer shared his regrets on social media with his followers. He posted a clear message of reconciliation to his son. However, he also asked other parents for their views on whether his actions were justified.
“I apologize to my son @morgan_bahati 🤦 but honestly, fellow parents, did I do anything wrong?”

The Physical Confrontation
Morgan shared his side of the story during a family discussion while enjoying a vacation at the coast. He described a harsh reaction from his father when the relationship was discovered. Morgan recalled receiving punches and slaps during the confrontation.
“Do you know there’s a time, yes, I blame it on myself I cannot blame my father, he warned me against having a girlfriend,” Morgan said.
The teenager noted that he blamed himself for the incident rather than his father. Despite this, the physical discipline led to an immediate and forced breakup with his partner. Morgan explained that he felt he had no choice but to end the romance.
“I received punches, slaps everything and so I just went and did what is rightful and told the girl that m we cannot boom,” he alleged.

Heartbreak and Consequences
The split was difficult for both of the teenagers involved. Morgan admitted that it made him feel "bad" to see the girl at school every day. He could see how sad she had become after they were forced apart.
According to Morgan, the emotional toll on the girl was visible. He claimed she was crying almost all the time.
He specifically remembered her eyelids looking dark because of the constant weeping.

“Imagine you feel like you love the person and then all of a sudden can I say you have been forced to leave them yet you know your heart longs for them,” Morgan added.
Moving On
The young woman has since moved on with her life. Morgan revealed that she now has a new partner. She told Morgan that she wanted to live a "free life" without constant worry.
Morgan described this relationship as his first love. The family even recalled a time they drove from Ruaka to Thika to support her, showing how integrated she had been.
Bahati’s stance on Morgan's personal life appears to have changed over the last year. He now encourages more open communication within the home. He told Morgan that he should follow his heart when it comes to future relationships.
The musician now advises his son to avoid rushing into romance. He suggested that Morgan should focus on his own personal growth before looking for a partner.

"What you need right now before anything else is yourself,” Bahati told him.
