Popular radio host and comedian Dr Ofweneke has announced he is finished with Arsenal. He shared his frustration on social media following the club’s recent loss to Manchester City.

The MC stated he would rather support content creator Pritty Vishy than continue with the Gunners.

A New Allegiance

Dr Ofweneke’s decision came after a period of poor form for the North London club. He posted a message to his followers declaring that supporting Arsenal was no longer worth it.

The Defeat that Sparked the Exit

The comedian’s announcement followed Arsenal's 2-1 defeat to Manchester City on 19 April 2026. The match was a major blow to Arsenal’s hopes of winning the title. Rayan Cherki gave City an early lead in the 16th minute.

Arsenal responded almost immediately when Kai Havertz equalised in the 18th minute. The first half ended in a 1-1 draw, keeping fans on the edge of their seats. However, Erling Haaland scored the decisive goal in the 65th minute to secure the win for City.

The "Arsenal Curse"

Dr Ofweneke is not the only high-profile star to distance himself from the club recently. Rapper Khaligraph Jones also expressed deep regret after appearing in a music video wearing an Arsenal jersey. He featured in the "Finale" video by Bien and Alikiba, which has been a massive hit.

The video has garnered over 17 million views in just three weeks. Despite the song's success, Khaligraph believes wearing the kit brought "swara," or bad luck, to the team.

He even publicly requested that his segments be removed from the YouTube video.

"It was a big mistake agreeing to be in this video, Hii ndio imeleta swara. @bienaimesol, can you remove that video from YouTube, delete my parts please,” he requested.

Title Race Statistics

The result of the Sunday match has altered the Premier League table landscape. While Arsenal still lead, their advantage is rapidly disappearing.

Manchester City now sit just three points behind the leaders. Crucially, City also has a game in hand, which could see them move level if they win.
