Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has a very specific vision for his young daughter’s future. The first-term lawmaker wants her to become a surgeon and eventually own her own hospital.
This is not a new dream for the politician, who has been increasingly open about his private life on social media.
In a recent post on 17 April 2026, Salasya reaffirmed his hopes for the young girl. He described her as "fire" and stated clearly that her career path was already decided, thanks to his parental blessing.

A Vision of Success and Healthcare
Salasya’s ambitions for his daughter are tied to his own political predictions. He told his followers that by the time she qualifies as a doctor, he expects to be the President of Kenya.
He believes the landscape for medical professionals in the country will have changed significantly by then. The MP predicted that Kenyan doctors will be "highly paid" in the future.

“My daughter ni fire wewe nimesema utakuwa daktari by that time nitakuwa president doctors in kenya will be highly paid by that time,” he predicted.
He suggested that the nation’s healthcare system will eventually mirror that of India, which is globally recognised for its medical expertise.
"You will be a surgeon my daughter I have already blessed you.”
The "Blessing" Behind the Birth
The MP also shared a candid story about his daughter’s origin. He revealed that she was conceived on a day he faced a physical confrontation, which he referred to as being "beaten".
Her mother visited him at an apartment to comfort him following the incident. Despite the hardship of that day, Salasya views it as a major turning point. He described the "beating" as a "very big blessing" because it led to his daughter’s life.
“Siku nilipigwa nyayo mamake alikuja kunipigia pole kwa apartment na ndio siku alipatikana hiyo kichapo ilikuwa na blessing kubwa sana.”

Surpassing the Father’s Achievements
This latest message reinforces a sentiment Salasya first shared in February 2026. During that time, he posted a photo with the young girl, noting how quickly she was growing. He expressed a deep desire for her to attain a higher level of education than he managed to achieve himself.
For Salasya, the goal is for the next generation of his family to reach even greater milestones than his own rise to the National Assembly. He wants her to not just work in a hospital, but to be the owner of one.
Addressing the Critics
Salasya has used these public displays of fatherhood to push back against online critics. Recently, the MP has been the target of social media trolls making unfounded claims about his personal life.
He has been firm in dismissing any doubts regarding his daughter's paternity. He pointed out the physical similarities between them, noting that while the mother has dark skin, he has "brown skin.”
