National data reveals a robust expansion of the power grid, with the total number of customer connections rising every single month between July and December.

This steady growth underscores a concerted effort to broaden energy access across the country, transitioning thousands of citizens from traditional energy sources to the national grid.

The period began in July with a base of 10,066,283 connected customers. By August, this figure climbed to 10,090,088, maintaining a steady momentum that carried into September with 10,114,633 connections.

The pace of enrollment showed no signs of slowing as the year entered its final quarter. October recorded 10,140,452 customers, while November saw a significant jump to 10,172,727.

The year concluded on a high note in December, with the total number of electricity connections reaching 10,216,952.

This data, sourced from the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority’s biannual statistics for the 2025/2026 financial year, highlights a net gain of over 150,000 new customers in just six months.

The incremental nature of these figures suggests a reliable and ongoing deployment of last-mile connectivity projects.
