The visit marked a key milestone in collaborative efforts to enhance learning outcomes across the county.
During the visit, the delegation presided over the official handover of newly renovated classrooms and upgraded water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) facilities at Township and Furaha primary schools.
Mohamed Hussein, an official from the Ministry of Education underscored the growing importance of multi-sector partnerships in addressing education challenges in marginalised regions.
He expressed optimism about the long-term impact of the Inspired Programme on learners across the county.

The infrastructure improvements, implemented by the Wajir Peace and Development Agency with support from the Government of Turkey through TİKA, are expected to provide learners with safer, more inclusive and conducive learning environments.
The initiative is part of the broader Inspired Programme, funded by the British Government through FCDO and implemented by Education Development Trust.
The programme targets 264 learning centres across Wajir county, focusing on strengthening foundational learning and improving overall education quality.
In addition to infrastructure development, the delegation also flagged off Social Emotional Learning (SEL) materials funded by Think Equal.
The materials are designed to support learners’ emotional intelligence, resilience and interpersonal skills, complementing academic instruction.
Marian Mohamed a teacher at Furaha Primary School noted that the combined investment in school infrastructure and learning resources represents a holistic approach to education development, ensuring that children in Wajir not only access school but thrive in supportive and well-equipped environments.
