Tanzanian R&B star Juma Jux has finally broken his silence regarding his journey to parenthood. The musician celebrated the birth of his first child, Prince Rakeem Ayomide Mkambala on August 2025.
The arrival of the baby came when Jux was 35 years old. For years, the singer faced intense public scrutiny. Fans and critics alike frequently questioned why he had not yet started a family.
In a candid interview with Wasafi FM, Jux addressed these long-standing rumours. He revealed that the delay was a conscious choice rather than a struggle with fertility.

The Pressure of Public Expectation
For a long time, the "Enjoy" hitmaker was at the centre of social media gossip. Some users even suggested that he might be unable to have children. Jux was aware of these comments and even addressed them in his music.
In his song "Uta Dead," he included lyrics reflecting the heat he felt from the public. He sang about the "headaches" caused by people constantly asking when he would become a father.
Despite the noise, Jux remained calm. He told Wasafi FM that the chatter did not cause him personal distress.
"It didn't worry me because I knew I had the ability to have a child," he stated during the interview.
Finding the Right Partner
For Jux, fatherhood was never just about having a baby. It was about the person he would share that journey with. He emphasised that he wanted to wait for the right person and the right time.
“For me, it wasn’t just about having a child, but it was about who I was having the child with and the right timing as well. Although you can’t exactly say when the 'right' time is because God is also in control, there are certain things that you do have control over,” Jux added.

He had previously set personal goals for his life. While he had envisioned certain milestones by 2025, many of his desires actually arrived earlier than expected.

The "right person" turned out to be Nigerian influencer and actress Priscilla Ojo. The couple's relationship has been a focal point of entertainment news across East and West Africa.
Priscilla, the daughter of Nollywood veteran Iyabo Ojo, has now become the foundation of Jux’s new family life.
Targeting a Big Family
Now that Prince Rakeem has arrived, Jux is not planning to stop. In fact, he is looking to make up for lost time. He revealed that he now aims to have a total of five children with Priscilla.
"To be honest, I’m a bit late, so I want to make up for the lost time. I want five children or even six, God willing. It depends," Jux told the shocked presenters.
He expressed a strong desire for all his children to have the same mother. He believes that Priscilla is the woman to help him achieve this dream.
Jux married Nigerian influencer Priscilla Ojo in a series of lavish wedding celebrations, with the traditional wedding held on April 17, 2025, and a white wedding on April 19, 2025, in Lagos, Nigeria.
A final grand wedding reception was scheduled in Tanzania on May 28, 2025, marking the end of their multi-country celebrations.
