A Walk Turned Dangerous

The incident began while Ndung’u was walking along what he described as a nice road. He was in the middle of recording a video for his followers and had his phone held out in front of him.

As he filmed, he heard a motorbike approaching from behind. Initially, he did not think much of the sound. However, the situation turned critical in a matter of seconds when a man on the back of the bike reached out to snatch the device.

“This guy tries to snatch my phone. It ends up flying across the road. So now it's a race between me and my man on the back of a motorbike to get to the phone,Ndung’u narrated.

The attempt did not go as planned for the thief. Instead of the phone ending up in the assailant's hand, the force of the struggle sent the device flying across the road.

What followed was a high-stakes sprint. Ndung’u and the man from the motorbike both scrambled to reach the phone first.

After retrieving his property, Ndung’u initially stood his ground. He questioned the man, asking what he thought he was doing.

“Luckily, I got to the phone first. I picked it up off the road. Then I was like, what are you doing, man?”

The atmosphere quickly shifted from a theft attempt to a potentially violent confrontation.

The Threat of Violence

According to Ndung’u, the assailant looked him directly in the eyes. The man then began reaching for his waist, a gesture often associated with drawing a weapon.

Recognising the immediate danger, Ndung’u decided that his safety was more important than a confrontation.

"This guy looked at me in the eyes, started reaching for his waist. I was like, 'Yeah, you know what? I can run. I'm just dashing, bro.' I dashed so fast,he narrated.
