Former radio presenter Jeridah Andayi has sparked a fresh conversation about the foundations of achievement. She is calling on society to recognise the men who push their wives to reach greater heights.
Through her social media platforms, the veteran broadcaster shared insights into why these "behind-the-scenes" roles are vital for many women in the spotlight.

The 'glow' of a supported woman
Andayi believes that many successful women do not reach the top alone. She points out that the public often sees the result—the success and the confidence—without seeing the support system that makes it possible.
According to Andayi, some women can "glow in public" because a man is working tirelessly in the background to keep her spirits high. This support provides a safety net that allows women to take risks in their careers and personal lives.
"Let’s celebrate the Men pushing women to success. Some women will glow in public because a man is working behind the scenes to keep her glowing,” she said.
A safety net for success
The broadcaster highlighted the emotional and practical stability that a supportive partner provides. She noted that many women can accomplish great things because they know they have someone to lean on if things go wrong.

"She’s accomplishing stuff because even when she stumbles, there is a man," Andayi explained.
She described this relationship as a place where a woman can "fall back into the arms of a man" when facing challenges.
Celebrating different paths
While her message focused on the importance of supportive men, Andayi was careful to acknowledge that success is not one-size-fits-all. She also paid tribute to women who have built their lives and careers through their own independent strength.
She noted that while some have a partner as their backbone, other women flourish without a man. Her message was an inclusive call to celebrate both the men who push women to success and the women who push themselves.
Andayi concluded her message by asking her followers a poignant question: "Who is in your (success) story?"
