Kenyan singer and media personality Tanasha Donna has expressed her deep disappointment after her young son became the target of online harassment.
The star shared her heartbreak on social media after trolls directed negative comments toward six-year-old Naseeb Jr., her child with Tanzanian music icon Diamond Platnumz.
The incident began when Donna posted a series of updates to her Instagram stories. One post featured a video of the mother and son enjoying a car ride together. However, the lighthearted moment was soon overshadowed by a wave of negative attention from online users.

A Mother’s Response to "Hate"
Donna did not stay silent in the face of the attacks. She used her platform to call out the behaviour of those targeting a child. She questioned the motives of adults who would spend their time criticizing a six-year-old.
"Imagine hating on a 6-year-old... Imagine being intimidated by a 6-YEAR-OLD!!"
Writing in a mix of English and Swahili, Donna described the situation as "wivu" (envy or jealousy).

She told her son that the world truly has "mashetani" (demons), suggesting that the negativity stems from a dark place in the commenters' lives.
“Dunia ina mashetani kweli. It’s called wivu son. Let them talk now, your success will speak volumes later,” she added.
Seeking Spiritual Protection
In a separate post, Donna turned to her faith to shield her son from further harm. She shared the text of Surah Al-Falaq, a chapter from the Quran often recited for protection. The verses specifically ask for refuge from various forms of evil.

The shared text includes a plea to the "Lord of daybreak" for protection from the evil of an envier when he envies. This choice of verse directly mirrors her comments regarding the "wivu" or jealousy she believes is being directed at her child.
Success as the Best Revenge
Despite her heartbreak, Donna remains optimistic about Naseeb Jr.’s future. She encouraged her son to ignore the current noise from social media. She told him to let them talk now, adding that his future achievements would be the ultimate response to his detractors.
The incident has highlighted the ongoing issue of cyberbullying within the East African entertainment scene. Naseeb Jr. is just six years old, yet he has found himself at the centre of an intense online debate.
