The news broke through a series of emotional posts on her Instagram stories. In one post, she shared a stark image of a hospital corridor. The photo showed a gurney covered with a white sheet.
A tribute to the beginning
Sandra's message was filled with raw emotion. She described the person as someone who had been there from the very start of her life. She specifically noted that they were the first person to see her walk.

"My heart is broken knowing you’re gone. You were the first person who watched me take my very first steps, and that’s a memory I will carry with me forever. From the very beginning, you were there for me,” Sandra Mbuvi posted.

She recalled her father telling her not to cry when she was down. However, the reality of the loss has proven difficult to manage. She admitted that she is currently in pieces.
"But mom, there's a tear every time that I blink. Oh, I'm in pieces. It's tearing me up."
