His move to Nairobi in 2025 from Nakuru was driven by the need to pursue better opportunities and grow his hustle in a more competitive and visible environment.“I relocated to Nairobi to hustle and push my content further,” he said.

Early Beginnings and a Shift in DirectionBefore adopting the Charlie Chaplin-inspired persona, Daniel had a different TikTok account where he focused on stand-up comedy. However, that account was eventually banned, forcing him to rethink his creative direction.Rather than quitting, he chose to reinvent himself.“I had another account where I did stand-up comedy, but it got banned. That’s when I decided to try something new,” he explained.ALSO READ: Meet JRoz: The Rising Nairobi Rapper Inspired by Nicki Minaj and Drake This turning point led him to mimic Charlie Chaplin, embracing silent comedy, expressive acting, and physical humor—elements that set him apart from many contemporary Kenyan creators.Reviving a Classic Comedy StyleDaniel believes that Charlie Chaplin represents one of the greatest eras in comedy, particularly during the late 20th century.“Chaplin was the best comedian back in the ’90s and early 2000s. I wanted to revive that memory for Kenyans and also introduce him to those who never knew him,” he said.Through his skits, he blends nostalgia with modern Kenyan street experiences, creating a fusion that resonates with a wide audience online. His content is largely visual, relying on expressions, costumes, and situational humor rather than dialogue.Challenges Behind the LaughterDespite the growing popularity, Daniel’s journey has not been without obstacles. “One of the main challenges is being beaten because of the pranks,” he revealed.
His performances, often carried out in public spaces, sometimes provoke unexpected reactions from unsuspecting participants.
While these moments add authenticity to his content, they also come with personal risks.
Education and Life After High School
Daniel completed his high school education in 2023 but was unable to proceed to university due to financial constraints.
“I finished high school, but I didn’t go to campus because of fees,” he said.
Instead, he chose to focus on content creation as a full-time pursuit, using social media as a platform to build his career and sustain himself.
Inspiration and Support System
Among the people he looks up to is global YouTube star MrBeast, whose success in digital content continues to influence many upcoming creators worldwide.
“I admire MrBeast,” Daniel noted.
He also credits his personal support system for helping him stay consistent in his journey.
“I thank my mother and Kiragu for supporting my content,” he said.
