“I started martial arts back in 2015 after I finished Form 4,” Ranger said during the interview.

According to him, the decision was not initially driven by ambition for competition or fame, but rather by personal circumstances that shaped his early years.

“I started it because I was kinda bullied so many times. So I started it as a way of self defence,” he explained.

“In high school I had this cute face where people could bully around,” he said.

The moment occurred shortly after leaving school one day, when he encountered a group of individuals in town.

“I remember there was a day tulikua tumetoka tu shule and there was these hustlers from Majengo pale town wakatunyang’anya simu,” he narrated.

The incident, which involved being robbed of a phone, added to the challenges he was already facing at the time.

“I felt so bad because I was the elder brother,” Ranger added.

His statement underscores the sense of responsibility he carried, particularly as the older sibling, and how the experience affected him on a personal level.

Following these experiences, Ranger made the decision to pursue martial arts training.
