Educational institutions also present a significant risk, with 32% of respondents identifying schools as a location where sexual harassment occurs.

Perhaps most distressing is the finding that the home is not a guaranteed sanctuary, as 23% of participants reported harassment occurring within domestic settings. This trend of insecurity extends into public and administrative spaces as well. Government offices and "other" unspecified locations were both cited by 21% of respondents, while retail stores followed closely at 20%.

These figures highlight a systemic issue that transcends private and public boundaries, affecting citizens in the very places they seek employment, education, and essential services.

The findings from this four-country survey serve as a critical indicator of the scale of the challenge facing gender equality advocates in 2026.
