Philanthropist Eric Omondi has reached a major milestone in his ambitious "Sisi Kwa Sisi" initiative. In a recent update shared via Instagram, Omondi revealed that the project’s central warehouse is now in its final stages of construction.
This development follows a massive fundraising effort that saw the comedian-turned-activist complete two gruelling long-distance treks.
The project was funded through donations collected during Omondi’s 483km walk to Mombasa and his subsequent 466km walk to Busia. These walks were designed to mobilise public support for a rescue centre aimed at helping vulnerable Kenyans.
Hands-On Construction
The new video tour shows a single-storey structure with vibrant blue exterior walls. Omondi appears directly involved in the physical work rather than just overseeing the project. He was filmed wearing a blue work jacket while assisting a construction crew with the roofing.

The team is currently securing green corrugated metal sheets onto a wooden timber frame. Omondi was also seen personally applying paint and using hammers on site.
The building is prominently branded with the name "SISI KWA SISI" and the tagline "Changing One life at a time..." in bold white lettering.
Expanding the Vision
While the warehouse is "basically done," Omondi has confirmed that this is only the beginning. His roadmap for the site includes a large, modern multi-storey medical facility and an educational centre.
The proposed "Sisi Kwa Sisi Hospital" is intended to offer vital services at no cost to the public. Omondi stated the facility will provide free cancer treatment, kidney dialysis, and maternity services.

“We have completed the Sisi Kwa Sisi warehouse and now we are beginning to build the hospital and the high school. The hospital will provide free cancer treatment. It will provide free dialysis for kidney patients. It will provide free maternity for our mothers,” Omondi said.
The Meru Mission
Omondi has set an ambitious deadline to deliver the hospital and high school by May of this year. To achieve this, he is embarking on a new mission starting this Monday: a walk to Meru.
Unlike his previous walks, this journey focuses on collecting physical building materials. A large semi-trailer truck, branded with the "Sisi Kwa Sisi Tembea Nami" logo, will accompany him to transport supplies.
"We are going to every hardware between Nairobi and Meru... whatever you can give us,” he said.

The project continues to rely on community support as Omondi transitions from building storage facilities to established healthcare and educational institutions. For more updates on the "Sisi Kwa Sisi" progress, Omondi continues to document the journey on his social media platforms.
