Tuju was reported missing earlier on Sunday after his family was informed that his car had been found abandoned along Miotoni Road in Karen, with the ignition keys inside. His mobile phones were switched off, heightening fears over his safety.

Siaya Governor James Orengo had earlier claimed that Tuju was abducted in the wake of his ongoing business troubles linked to a commercial dispute. He urged Kenyans to pray for him, describing the situation as deeply concerning.

The disappearance comes just days after heavily armed police officers entered Tuju’s Sh3.5 billion Dari Centre in what was described as an attempt to enforce a change of ownership over claims that the property had been auctioned.

A trader has since emerged claiming he purchased the 21-acre property for Sh450 million, even as Tuju moved to challenge the process in court.
