FIDA-Kenya

FIDA-Kenya has cautioned the public against impersonation and misuse of its name following the circulation of a fake statement purporting to address an alleged murder case.

In a notice issued on Tuesday, the organisation clarified that the widely shared information that resembles an official press release did not originate from its offices.

FIDA-Kenya urged Kenyans to disregard the statement and remain vigilant against misleading information circulated under its identity.

“Please be advised that the statement circulating was not issued by FIDA-Kenya. We urge the public to disregard it and remain vigilant against impersonation and misuse of our name,” the organisation said.

The fraudulent document, which spread across social media and messaging platforms, claimed that FIDA-Kenya was demanding an immediate investigation into the alleged murder of Regina Wairimu. It bore the organisation’s branding and formatting, making it appear authentic at first glance.
