“I really hope this war ends soon. As the war continues I will be sure to give you an update of us,” he said.
The video appears to show normal activity behind him, with vehicles moving along the road and pedestrians walking in what looked like a typical evening setting.
A Muslim call to prayer could also be heard loudly in the background as he spoke.
The man’s remarks come as concern grows among families of Kenyans living in the Middle East following the escalation of the conflict involving Iran.
The war involving Iran began on February 28, 2026 after coordinated air and missile strikes by Israel and the US targeted several military and strategic sites inside Iran.
The attacks marked one of the most serious escalations in the Middle East in recent years, with hundreds of strikes reported in the first hours of the operation.
Iran responded by launching missiles and drones targeting Israel as well as US military bases and allied facilities across parts of the Middle East, including in the Gulf region.
Some of the retaliatory attacks also affected countries such as Bahrain and Kuwait where air defence systems intercepted missiles and drones aimed at military installations.
More than two weeks into the conflict, the fighting has expanded beyond direct strikes inside Iran, with cyberattacks and regional military tensions raising fears of a wider war across the Middle East.
As of March 13, the conflict that started on February 28 has entered its fourteenth day, with military operations and retaliatory attacks continuing across several countries in the region.
