Manchester United vs Aston Villa
[Old Trafford, Sunday at 5 pm]
Third-placed Manchester United welcome fourth-placed Aston Villa to Old Trafford in what promises to be a heavyweight clash that could yet rattle the Premier League’s top-four picture.
United have turned the Theatre of Dreams into something of a fortress this season, arriving on the back of four consecutive home victories and are unbeaten in eight league matches on their own turf. Villa, however, have shown occasional fragility away from home. Despite their impressive overall campaign, they carry a negative goal difference on the road.

The last time these two sides met, at Villa Park in December 2025, Villa edged Red Devils 2-1 in a tense affair.  Form-wise, United look particularly assured at home, while Villa have carved out a reputation for entertaining, high-scoring contests that often swing on moments of individual brilliance.
Midfield conductor Bruno Fernandes, striker Benjamin Šeško, and forward Bryan Mbeumo remain the driving forces in United’s attacking play, while Villa will once again look to the lively Morgan Rogers, who has emerged as a consistent goal threat this season.
Villa may pose a threat, but United’s formidable home record, coupled with the urgency of protecting their top-four standing, gives them the slight edge.
Prediction: Manchester United 2 - 1 Aston Villa
Liverpool FC vs Tottenham Hotspur
[Anfield, Sunday at 7.30 pm]
Sixth-placed Liverpool host a struggling Tottenham Hotspur side at Anfield in a fixture that pits one club chasing European football against another desperately trying to halt a worrying slide.
Liverpool, under the guidance of Arne Slot, remains firmly in the hunt for a top-four finish and the Champions League ticket that comes with it.
With the season entering its decisive stretch, the Reds will view this as a chance to close the gap on the teams above them. Their ruthless 4-0 dismantling of Spurs in the EFL Cup back in February served as a clear statement of their firepower.
Tottenham, by contrast, arrive in search of form, currently enduring a miserable run of five straight defeats and have now gone 11 matches without tasting victory, a sequence that has dragged them perilously close to the relegation scrap.
Defensively, the cracks have been glaring with Spurs having conceded at least two goals in each of their last nine Premier League outings.
The last league meeting between the sides ended in a 2-1 victory for Liverpool in a fiery encounter that saw two Spurs players shown red cards.
History offers Tottenham little comfort either. Anfield has long been a difficult hunting ground for the North London club, whose last victory there came back in May 2011 when they secured a 2-0 triumph.
Given Liverpool’s attacking sharpness and Tottenham’s defensive struggles, the signs point towards a comfortable afternoon for the hosts. That said, with mounting pressure and growing calls for the dismissal of interim manager Igor Tudor, Spurs may arrive with a point to prove.
Prediction: Liverpool 3 - 1 Tottenham
Mathare United vs AFC Leopards
[Nyayo Stadium, Saturday at 3.30 pm]
The “Slum Boys” Mathare United, currently 12th in the Kenyan Premier League, welcome second-placed AFC Leopards in a clash that carries significant weight at both ends of the table.
With league leaders Gor Mahia beginning to stretch their advantage at the summit, Leopards, who sit seven points adrift, know they can ill afford to drop points if they are to keep the title race alive.
The first meeting between the two sides earlier in the season ended in a convincing 2-0 victory for Ingwe, continuing a trend that has largely favoured the Leopards in recent encounters. Mathare’s last win in this fixture dates back to March 2023, when they edged Leopards 1-0.
Leopards arrive brimming with confidence after a ruthless 5-1 demolition of Shabana FC in their latest league outing, a performance that underlined their attacking quality.
Mathare, on the other hand, are still smarting from a narrow 2-1 defeat to rivals Gor Mahia and head into this match on a three-game winless run in the league.
While the Slum Boys may well put up a spirited fight in front of their home supporters, Ingwe’s current momentum and superior record in this fixture suggest the visitors hold the upper hand.
Prediction: Mathare United 0 - 2 AFC Leopards
