The partnership will allow Kenya Airways to place its flight code on JetBlue-operated services from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport to major US cities, including Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Orlando, Atlanta, and Fort Lauderdale.

Under the arrangement, passengers can book a single ticket covering both airlines’ flights, with smooth connections through Nairobi and New York.

“Customers will be able to travel on a single ticket with smooth connections through Nairobi and New York, making journeys between Africa and the United States more convenient,” Kenya Airways said.

The airline said the codeshare deal is part of its strategy to grow its global network through partnerships while providing more choice and a seamless travel experience for customers.

“This collaboration supports our strategy to grow our global network through strong partnerships while delivering greater choice and a more seamless travel experience for our guests,” it added.

The new agreement is expected to enhance connectivity for travellers moving between Africa and the United States, while supporting tourism, trade, and business travel.
