Engineering to Comedy: How Mr Nyandikaah Became a TikTok Sensation

Kenyan TikTok comedian and content creator Mr Nyandikaah, born Brian Nyandikaah Mong’are, is quickly becoming one of the country’s most unique social media personalities.

Known for his clever and humorous style, Nyandikaah has carved a niche by turning the funniest comments on trending videos into entertaining content that leaves his audience laughing every time.

In an exclusive interview with Mpasho, Nyandikaah shared how his journey into viral comedy started almost by accident.

He revealed that in July 2025, he came across a trending video with a slew of hilarious comments.

“I just wanted to highlight the comments so that I wouldn’t forget them,” he recalled.

But when he uploaded the video, it unexpectedly took off. Encouraged by its success, he tried a second video to see if the trend would continue — and it did.

This became the foundation of his signature style, which has since earned him over 922,400 TikTok followers in under a year.

“My style is unique because I focus on the funniest comments and creatively display them in my videos,” Nyandikaah explained.

“I love turning small observations into content that people can relate to and laugh about.”

Despite his growing fame, Nyandikaah remains grounded.

He said that content creation is not his full-time job; it is something he does during his leisure time, purely out of passion and enjoyment.

He prefers to use Mr Nyandikaah as his brand name, a title given to him by his grandfather that he holds dear.

Before becoming a social media sensation, Nyandikaah attended Munguni High School in Nyamira County.

He later pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Mombasa, graduating in 2019.

While his academic background may seem far from the world of viral comedy, Nyandikaah has proven that creativity and technical knowledge can coexist, allowing him to craft engaging content with clever production techniques.

Nyandikaah’s message to his growing fanbase is heartfelt:
