A 35-year-old man died after falling from a palm tree in a village in Chasimba, Kilifi County.
Police said Zero Munga was a wine taper in the area and had climbed the tree for his usual mission when he slipped and fell on February 28.
Witnesses said he fell off and landed on his head, dying instantly. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The tree was about 15 meters tall, locals said.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
Meanwhile, a woman was clobbered to death in a domestic fight with her husband in Kulamawe, Isiolo County.
Police identified the deceased as Wendy Kendi. She and her husband had been fighting in their house on Saturday before she screamed for help.
Police were called to the scene and forced the house door open when they found her bleeding, with the said assailant also seated there with injuries.
The woman was rushed to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival. The man was later arrested pending grilling and possible arraignment for murder.
The body of the woman was moved to the mortuary for autopsy.
And a 20-year-old man died after jumping from the rooftop of a five-storey building in Sunton area, Nairobi.
Police said Chris Kariuki had a quarrel with his parents in their house over claims of drug abuse.
He was agitated and left the house in protest before he walked upstairs, where he jumped off the rooftop and landed on the ground fatally.
His body sustained injuries on the head and legs. Police were called to the scene and moved the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.
Suicide incidents have been on the rise amid efforts to address the menace. Police say up to four cases are reported daily and the majority of the victims are men.
The incidents are under probe for now.
The surge in cases reflects broader mental health challenges in the country.
The World Health Organization attributes suicide to factors such as joblessness, bereavement, academic pressure, legal and financial difficulties, bullying, substance abuse, depression and bipolar disorder, as well as previous suicide attempts and family history.
