Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo said Ruto has delivered tangible projects in Homa Bay and across the county, warranting another term in office.
“President Ruto has delivered for the people of Homa Bay. He has delivered for the people of this region, and he has also delivered for the country. That is why we are going to give him another opportunity next year to serve his second term, to continue on the path of development of this country,” Omollo said.
He was speaking during an empowerment event in Suba, Homa Bay County, attended by senior national and county leaders.
Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi echoed the sentiments, expressing confidence that the Nyanza region would overwhelmingly back the President in the 2027 General Election.
“Come 2027, Suba and the entire Nyanza region will vote fully for Ruto,” Mbadi said.
Homa Bay Senator Moses Kajwang with Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo in Suba on February 28, 2026/COURTESY Homa Bay Senator Moses Kajwang attributed the region’s recent development gains to its cooperation with the national government under what leaders described as a broad-based arrangement.
“Since ODM joined the government under the broad-based arrangement, the region has benefited immensely from Ruto’s government,” Kajwang said.
"Our engagement with the President has been on development matters.”
He urged leaders to shift focus from constant political rivalry to service delivery.
"I want to encourage those in the political space, let our competition be on development rather than politics always,” Kajwang added.

“Since we entered into a deal with Ruto, we have started seeing tarmac roads in the region which were not there,” he said.
The event was also attended by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga, several Principal Secretaries and Members of Parliament.
The leaders maintained that continued collaboration between the region and the national government would accelerate development projects and improve livelihoods, positioning Nyanza as a key player in the country’s economic transformation agenda.
