The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has announced a fresh round of industrial attachment opportunities aimed at offering students practical experience in a dynamic and professional environment.
This initiative, running from May to July 2026, aligns with the Government’s Youth Initiative.
The initiative seeks to nurture a pool of skilled young professionals ready to contribute meaningfully to the Kenyan labour market.
According to their site, the program is open to continuing undergraduate students in their third, fourth, and final year of study.
It is also open to diploma students in their final year from recognised universities and colleges across the country.
Interested applicants must be Kenyan citizens under the age of 35.
A key requirement is the submission of a valid introduction letter from the student’s institution, confirming their enrollment and eligibility to participate in the industrial attachment program.
Applicants must be available full-time for the three-month duration of the program, which provides hands-on experience across a wide range of departments within the Authority.
KRA emphasises that the program is designed to allow students to gain practical insights into their respective areas of specialisation, complementing their academic studies and preparing them for future careers.
The industrial attachment opportunities span a broad spectrum of disciplines, reflecting the diverse operations of KRA.
Students in fields such as finance, accounting, economics, statistics, and data analytics will find placements aligned with their expertise.
Other eligible disciplines include mathematics, supply chain management, human resource management, marketing, communications, public relations, media studies, and international relations.
Creative and technical fields such as photography, videography, film production, animation, ICT, telecommunications, and hotel management are also included.
Engineering students in electrical, mechanical, civil, and structural disciplines, as well as those studying land economics, property management, quantity surveying, and actuarial science, can also apply.
Additionally, KRA welcomes students in law, education, chemistry, analytical chemistry, criminology, criminal justice, forensics, and occupational health, among other areas.
Students interested in project management, monitoring and evaluation, counselling psychology, disaster management, and records or library science are equally eligible.
"You can only apply for the opportunity after successfully registering on our e-recruitment portal," the site notes.
Only complete applications will be considered, and the authority said not charge any fees at any stage of the process.
Candidates are reminded that the deadline for submission is Friday, March 6, 2026, and that the authority will not extend the attachment program beyond its scheduled duration.
"If selected, candidates will be required to submit proof of a valid Personal Accident Insurance Cover, copies of KRA PIN certificate, NHIF/SHIF, NSSF, ID card and bank account details," the site adds.
Selected students will receive a monthly stipend of Sh7,000, subject to statutory deductions.
KRA’s industrial attachment program offers a unique opportunity for young Kenyans to gain invaluable workplace exposure, develop professional skills, and contribute to the operations of a leading national institution.
