Former pastor and political aspirant John C.W., widely known as Bishop John CW, has donated a Toyota Probox to Omosh One Hour, a prominent member of the civic movement Bunge la Wananchi.
The vehicle was presented earlier this month during a community gathering in Nairobi. According to Omosh One Hour, the Probox will support mobility for members involved in grassroots activities.
“The vehicle will help us reach more communities and strengthen our engagement,” Omosh said during the handover.

Transition from Pulpit to Politics

Mr CW formally announced his exit from full-time ministry in December 2025, ending 16 years of church leadership. Addressing his congregation at the time, he said he had received spiritual guidance to shift into civic engagement.
His move into the political space has since drawn attention, particularly as Kenya approaches the 2027 General Election. While he has declared interest in elective politics, he has not publicly confirmed the specific seat he intends to contest.

Speculation Around Kibra Seat

Social media discussions have linked Mr CW to a possible bid for the Kibra parliamentary seat in Nairobi County. The constituency has remained politically significant since the death of former MP Ken Okoth in 2019.

Political analysts note that Kibra has a history of active voter participation and competitive party contests. Any new entrant would likely face candidates backed by established political parties.

Electoral Status

As of mid-February 2026:
The donation to Omosh One Hour has generated discussion among residents and online observers. Supporters describe the gesture as community support, while others caution against interpreting civic engagement as confirmation of a candidacy.
